Today is actually my birthday. Day #2 in the round of festivities my friends have planned. We had dinner at the restaurant of my friend Eduardo. It is a wonderful restaurant. It is located on Defensa 1024 between Garay and Brasil. If you go make sure to tell Eduardo that I recommended it to you.
These are my friends Ana and Pia. I was thrilled that they came to celebrate with me. We only see each other in the milonga. Since they are always so busy with work, we never
seem to have time see each other outside. It was great they came.
This is one of my closest friends Jorge. Sandra and I call him "nuestro ahijado" our Godson. He is always with us on the weekends. Sometimes we tell people we are all amantes sin sexo.
(Lovers with no sex) Here he is trying to figure out what to eat in the pararilla.
Here is me a little freaked out over the dish Eduardo prepared especially for me. It was mind-blowing. It was just that there was enough for 3 people.
I don't eat meat. Eduardo himself prepared this dish for me. It was merluza (a type of fish from here) with an incredible sauce of shrimp. There were all kinds of vegetables.
Not the greatest picture of me. But Sandra insisted I include one of this birthday crown. She
crazy about it. Since she reads my blog, I had no choice but to include this picture.
Sandra just can't keep her hands off my birthday crown. She will get her opportunity in January.
We are all going crazy taking pictures. I took this picture of Eva taking a picture of Yuko
who is taking a picture of the table.
And another CAKE!!!!!! This one was fruit and a creme loaded with Tia Maria and
some other liqueurs. After 3 bottles of wine, it really didn't matter.
Here I am modeling the beautiful scarf Ana and Pia bought me for my birthday.
We all had a great time. We ate too much food, drank too much wine, and closed the restaurant at almost 2:00 am. Then Ana, Pia, Sandra, Yuko, and I walked through San Telmo to get a taxi. It was a very special night and I am glad I got to share it with them.
